Senior Solutions Engineer (US Timezone)

    About the Role
    We are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to lead our technical pre-sales, onboarding, and customer success efforts in the US, while helping scale these processes globally. This is a cross-functional role that combines pre-sales execution, technical onboarding, strategic product insights, and impactful demo storytelling. You’ll work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to deliver clear, confident, and empathetic product presentations. You will also act as the technical point of contact for selected accounts post-sale, helping to drive adoption and uncover new expansion opportunities.


    Key Responsibilities
    Pre-Sales & Technical Solutioning

    • Lead discovery calls, product demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions with prospective customers
    • Own solution fit and partner with Sales on pricing and commercial strategy
    • Handle technical evaluations including RFPs, security questionnaires, and data architecture discussions

    Demo Infrastructure & Analytics Use Cases

    • Maintain and optimize our demo environment to support a wide range of scenarios
    • Build engaging analytics use cases that highlight best practices in data modeling, visualization, and storytelling
    • Create and publish video demo walkthroughs for internal training, sales outreach, and community education
    • Continuously refine demo narratives based on product updates and customer feedback

    Customer Onboarding & Enablement

    • Facilitate onboarding workshops to support a smooth customer adoption process
    • Deliver hands-on training to accelerate user engagement
    • Collaborate with Marketing to co-create enablement content (videos, guides, docs)
    • Serve as the technical advisor for key customers post-sale to unblock issues and drive deeper adoption

    Product & Marketing Collaboration

    • Capture product feedback and competitive insights from the field
    • Identify recurring objections, blockers, and trends across deals
    • Partner with Product and Engineering to refine product usability and readiness
    • Collaborate with Product Marketing to shape messaging, documentation, and go-to-market efforts

    Internal Support & Enablement

    • Respond to technical queries from internal Slack channels and community forums (Level 2 support)
    • Escalate bugs and Level 3 issues to Product/Engineering with clear context
    • Develop and maintain internal enablement assets (templates, training videos, FAQs)
    • Review and contribute to internal product documentation and support materials

    What We're Looking For

    • Candidates based in Canada/US/Mexico.
    • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Technical Consulting
    • Strong hands-on experience with modern data and analytics tools (e.g., SQL, dbt, Looker, Holistics)
    • Proven track record of building demo environments, technical content, and documentation
    • Excellent communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Comfortable working independently and collaborating asynchronously with global teams

    Nice-to-Have Skills

    • Experience scaling pre-sales or enablement functions in a SaaS startup environment
    • Background in product marketing, developer advocacy, or technical writing
    • Familiarity with supporting community forums, Slack groups, or open-source documentation
    • Passion for improving internal systems, training, and documentation processes
