Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable, modular hardware systems for automated testing of power converters
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test requirements using schematics and block diagrams
- Develop custom test PCBAs to interface with power products
- Build rack-based test systems combining custom and off-the-shelf components
- Document designs, BOMs, and procedures for test systems
- Program and maintain ATE systems, particularly Chroma
- Coordinate with external vendors to meet technical requirements
- Review SAT and FAT to ensure system readiness
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, software, and specifications
- Stay current with manufacturing test technologies
- Develop automated test scripts to enhance testing speed and accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years in test automation system design for manufacturing
- Strong experience with Chroma ATE systems and automation programming
- Solid understanding of circuit schematics, PCB layouts, and technical datasheets
- Familiarity with communication protocols like USB, GPIB, Ethernet, RS-485, SPI, I2C, CAN
- Proven experience integrating hardware and software for ATE in production environments
- Proficiency with lab instruments like DMMs, signal analyzers/generators, programmable power supplies
- Programming knowledge in Python and Chroma’s proprietary language
