Q.HSE Assistant Manager

    Reports to: Regional QHSE Manager / DSO Division: Quality Division

    Purpose of the Role

    This role is responsible for leading, driving, and improving Process Quality and HSE compliance to ensure the best customer experience and achieve business goals within the region.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Monitor, maintain, and improve customer quality experience by ensuring adherence to process quality assurance requirements (QA), supporting QMS and HSE systems, and driving QHSE improvement projects.
    • Plan and support the execution of internal QMS and HSE audits.
    • Coordinate and facilitate external and customer audits.
    • Conduct monthly plant quality meetings to review quality performance and identify areas for improvement.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor process controls in collaboration with the Plant Manager and Quality Support team.
    • Complete HSE-related tasks in coordination with the country HSE lead and report compliance status.
    • Lead preventive, corrective, and robust action implementation related to internal and customer complaints.
    • Manage the customer experience and complaint handling process.
    • Maintain quality standards and best practices across operations.
    • Support QHSE improvement programs and share lessons learned.
    • Prepare and analyze quality reports, conduct audits, and develop plans to drive continuous improvement using relevant tools.
    • Explore new quality-related technologies for process and performance enhancement.
    • Lead regional Quality Circle projects and monitor progress.
    • Participate in investigations of HSE-related incidents and share findings with the HSE country lead.
    • Focus on preventive measures, compliance to CFA, process audits, Q Alerts monitoring, and implementation.
    • Manage process change control activities.
    • Conduct regular quality monitoring through process walks, spot checks, and product audits.
    • Ensure compliance with calibration requirements.
    • Authorize product or batch quarantine and release decisions in case of quality deviations.
    • Train, develop, and monitor the competency matrix of the Quality Team.
    • Provide HSE training and contribute to achieving HSE performance targets for the plant/site.

    Key Outputs & Performance Indicators

    • Compliance with process quality requirements in the region.
    • Execution and timely closure of internal and external audit observations.
    • Timely resolution of customer complaints.
    • Preventive approach to avoid recurring issues and achievement of CONQ % targets.

    Leadership & Influence

    • Lead and drive all quality assurance activities in the region, including audits and improvement initiatives.
    • Promote proactive quality and HSE improvements through structured programs and projects.
    • Coach and guide team members on Quality Assurance and HSE practices.

    Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

    • Maintain strong working relationships with peers and other departments.
    • Collaborate effectively to support Quality and HSE initiatives.
    • Promote cross-functional deployment of quality and HSE improvements.

    Required Skills & Expertise

    • Strong quality-focused mindset.
    • Solid knowledge of QMS (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D) and core quality tools.
    • Understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards preferred.
    • Proven leadership and people management skills.
    • Ability to mentor and coach team members.
    • Strong decision-making capability.
    • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office tools.
