Production Manager

    Key Responsibilities

    Production Planning & Operations

    • Plan, schedule, and oversee production activities across PCB assembly, SMT lines, and final assembly. Coordinate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure timely material availability and smooth production flow.

    Team Leadership

    • Lead technicians, line operators, and assembly teams. Provide coaching and training on electronics assembly processes, ESD control, safety requirements, and operational standards. Address performance issues and manage workplace conflicts effectively.

    Quality & Compliance

    • Ensure production activities comply with IPC-A-610, ISO 9001, ESD, and workplace safety requirements. Partner with QA teams to investigate defects, implement corrective actions, and maintain proper product traceability and documentation.

    Resource & Capacity Management

    • Optimize the utilization of SMT equipment, wave soldering machines, testing stations, manpower, and production capacity. Monitor inventory, BOMs, engineering changes, work instructions, and production controls. Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 6S, and structured problem-solving initiatives to reduce waste, improve yield, increase productivity, and optimize cycle times. Identify opportunities for automation across assembly and testing processes.

    Production Reporting & Analysis

    • Monitor and analyze key production indicators, including yield, defects, throughput, capacity, and cycle time. Use production data to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and support operational decision-making.

    Systems & Documentation

    • Utilize MRP, ERP, Microsoft Office, and Excel to manage production data, planning, inventory, and reporting. Ensure accurate control of engineering drawings, change orders, work instructions, and other manufacturing documentation.

    Qualifications & Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Business Management, or a related field.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, or a similar production environment, with hands-on experience leading assembly operations.
    • Strong knowledge of SMT, through-hole assembly, testing processes, manufacturing controls, capacity planning, inventory management, BOMs, engineering drawings, and change control.
    • Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 6S, and structured problem-solving methodologies to improve manufacturing performance.
    • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and handle performance-related issues.
    • Proficiency in MRP, ERP, Microsoft Office, and intermediate-level Excel.
    • Highly accountable, proactive, and results-oriented, with the ability to take ownership beyond the defined scope of the role and drive operational improvement.
    • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with changing priorities, workloads, and deadlines.
