Responsibilities and Duties:
Production Planning & Execution
- Develop and execute production plans to meet targets and customer demand
- Monitor progress and adjust schedules to ensure on-time delivery
- Optimize resource allocation (labor, materials, equipment)
- Ensure smooth production flow across all stages
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, train, and develop production teams (including supervisors and operators)
- Set KPIs, evaluate performance, and provide coaching
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Handle employee issues effectively
Quality Control & Assurance
- Ensure products meet quality standards and specifications
- Implement and maintain quality control processes
- Analyze defects and drive corrective/preventive actions
- Monitor quality data for continuous improvement
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / 6S)
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize productivity
- Explore automation and efficiency improvements
- Reduce waste and improve operational performance
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure workplace safety and enforce regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with environmental and legal requirements
Cost Management
- Control production costs within budget
- Drive cost-saving initiatives and reduce scrap
- Monitor cost performance and variances
Maintenance Coordination
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure machinery reliability and proper upkeep
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare production reports (output, efficiency, quality)
- Collaborate with Planning, Sales, and Engineering teams
- Escalate and manage production issues proactively
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years in wood/furniture manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of wood processing, furniture production & finishing (PU/coating)
- Familiar with Lean / 6S and continuous improvement
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Good English communication
