Role Overview:
We are looking for a proactive Poultry Technical Manager to lead health programs across the poultry operations. You will be responsible for maintaining optimal flock health, overseeing the responsible use of veterinary treatments, and strengthening biosecurity protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement comprehensive programs to detect and control poultry diseases.
- Collect and evaluate samples to develop epidemiological insights at both farm and regional levels.
- Establish guidelines for prudent use of antibiotics and disinfectants to ensure animal welfare and compliance.
- Lead the development and execution of vaccination strategies across the poultry portfolio.
- Monitor biosecurity compliance and collaborate closely with Production teams to enhance on-farm practices.
- Analyze diagnostic results (bloodwork, water quality, Swab-PCR, disease trends) to drive timely interventions.
- Partner with Production and Commercial teams on operational planning and health forecasting.
- Deliver veterinary training to internal stakeholders to build organizational capability.
- Develop targeted disease prevention programs, including optimized AHP (Acute Hepatic Pancreatic) management protocols.
Candidate Profile:
- Degree-qualified in Veterinary Medicine.
- At least 10 years’ experience managing poultry health programs.
- Strong knowledge of poultry disease control and prevention.
- Skilled in planning, reporting, and delivering technical presentations.
- Able to communicate effectively in English.
- Meticulous, reliable, highly committed, and results-driven.
