Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
•    Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize production processes and ensure a smooth factory launch.
•    Oversee the daily operations of the factory, ensuring that production schedules are met, and products are manufactured efficiently and cost-effectively.
•    Manage operational KPIs, including OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), downtime, yield, and throughput, to ensure that all performance targets are achieved.
Team Leadership
•    Lead, mentor, and develop an operations and production staff team, providing clear direction and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
•    Provide technical guidance, training, and professional development for the maintenance team.
•    Ensure effective communication between the maintenance department and other plant teams.
Process & Equipment Management
•    Ensure the factory’s production processes are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and quality.
•    Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve equipment uptime, minimize breakdowns, and enhance process capabilities.
•    Lead initiatives to upgrade equipment, introduce new technologies, and implement best practices in manufacturing to drive operational excellence.
P&L Management & Cost Control
•    Manage the factory's P&L (Profit & Loss), ensuring that the operation runs within budget while controlling costs related to labor, materials, and overhead.
•    Develop and manage the operations budget, controlling expenses related to labor, materials, and operational overhead.
•    Identify opportunities to increase profitability through cost-saving measures, productivity improvements, and process optimization.
Safety & Compliance
•    Lead the implementation of a strong safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
•    Collaborate with the EHSS (Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability) team to maintain high standards of safety and ensure compliance with local regulations, ISO standards, and other industry requirements.
•    Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to prevent workplace accidents and environmental hazards.
Continuous Improvement
•    Establish and oversee quality control processes to ensure that all products meet the company’s quality standards and client specifications.
•    Lead root cause analysis for any quality issues and implement corrective actions.
•    Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, reducing defects, and improving production efficiency.
Reporting & Documentation
•    Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including production output, P&L performance, and safety metrics.
•    Prepare regular reports for senior management on operational performance, including recommendations for improvement.
•    Maintain accurate documentation related to operational procedures, safety protocols, and quality assurance.
Essentials Skills & Qualifications:
Education
•    Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
•    Relevant certifications in operations management are a plus.
Experience
•    Minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
•    Experience in the glass manufacturing or renewable energy (solar) sector is highly preferred.
•    Proven experience in managing P&L, driving operational excellence, and leading cross-functional teams in a factory or plant environment.

o    In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations, operational process improvement, and industry best practices.
