Maintenance Technician

    Overview

    • Manage utility systems and facilities to support production and business operations.  
    • Ensure all facilities, utility systems, and process equipment are maintained to original design specifications and operational readiness.  
    • Promptly report any irregularities or issues to the Line Manager or Engineering Manager.  

    Key Responsibility

    • Operate, maintain, and enhance utility systems such as electrical power distribution, water supply (city and R.O.), HVAC, dust extraction, compressed air, and building infrastructure.  
    • Maintain and improve process equipment (excluding laboratory tools), including sieving machines, mixers, packaging machines, forklifts, and warehousing equipment.  
    • Conduct calibration and qualification of instruments and equipment as required.  
    • Oversee external service providers working on-site.  
    • Propose and implement improvements, contributing to continuous site-wide enhancement initiatives.  
    • Ensure all machinery and equipment remain in optimal working condition.  
    • Update Preventive Maintenance plans to reflect current equipment conditions, minimizing unplanned repairs.  
    • Develop and validate SOPs/Work Instructions, ensuring proper training for relevant personnel.  
    • Flexibility to work beyond standard hours (overtime, shifts, or cross-team assignments) as needed.  
    • Provide regular work updates and report incidents to the Engineering Management Team.  

    Required Experience

    • Minimum diploma from a Mechanical College.  
    • Proficiency in maintenance management software (e.g., SAP_PM Plant Maintenance Module).  
    • Experience with HVAC systems.  
    • Broad knowledge of factory-wide system maintenance.  
    • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.  
    • Familiarity with WHO-GxP and HSE standards.  
    • Ability to interpret technical documents and draft reports in English.  
    • Competency in Microsoft Office applications.  
    • Project management skills (planning, execution, risk/change management, reporting).
