Import & Export Executive - Korea

    Customs Clearance & Regulatory Compliance

    • Handle all customs documentation and ensure full compliance with local import/export regulations
    • Coordinate with customs brokers, clearing agents, and relevant government authorities (e.g., MFDS) to ensure smooth clearance processes
    • Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update internal stakeholders
    • Manage HS code classification, labeling compliance, and certification requirements for both food and non-food items

    Inbound & Outbound Logistics

    • Plan and manage inbound shipments from overseas suppliers and regional hubs
    • Coordinate outbound shipments to warehouses, training centers, and retail outlets
    • Track shipment status, manage timelines, and resolve delivery or clearance issues
    • Proactively identify delays or risks and escalate with mitigation plans

    Vendor, Freight & 3PL Coordination

    • Liaise with freight forwarders, transportation providers, and 3PL partners
    • Coordinate shipping schedules and ensure service-level compliance
    • Support rate negotiation and cost optimization initiatives

    Documentation, Data & System Management

    • Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, B/Ls, and certificates
    • Maintain accurate and timely records of import, export, and domestic logistics activities in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP)
    • Ensure data consistency between physical shipments, system records, and financial documentation
    • Manage and analyze shipment, cost, and inventory-related data using Excel (e.g., trackers, reconciliation files, status dashboards)

    End-to-End Ownership, Reporting & Escalation

    • Take end-to-end ownership of import operations from order readiness through post-clearance follow-up
    • Act as the key point of contact for APAC HQ, suppliers, and internal cross-functional teams
    • Provide structured, timely reporting on shipment status, risks, and action plans
    • Escalate issues proactively with clear recommendations and next steps

    Process & SOP Management

    • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SOPs related to import, customs clearance, and logistics operations
    • Support process standardization to prevent operational and compliance risks

    Qualifications Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field
    • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in import operations, logistics, or supply chain management
    • F&B import experience strongly preferred, including food testing, Korean labeling, and regulatory compliance
    • Proficiency in ERP and logistics systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP)
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data reconciliation, tracking and reporting)
    • Strong ability to manage multiple processes, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
    • High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

    Language

    • Business-level English proficiency required
    • Mandarin proficiency is a plus but not mandatory
