JOB DESCRIPTION
- Lead a team of tecnical Skilled professionals in Quality Engineering function pertaining to Crystalline Silicon Ingot-Wafer.
- Overall responsibility for Quality activities across the business
- Establish quality and reliability standards by studying industry benchmarks and the requirements of customers and research/design and development, and define the metrics required to assess performance against standards required.
- Benchmarking of Key Raw materials in Ingot-Wafer Manufacturing with market and development of new cost competitive materials towards OpEx cost reduction
- Create and implement best practice quality vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance
- Ensure that quality strategies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and operational needs in terms of price, quality and delivery targets and which enables the company to function and compete effectively in the market and in a sustained manner
- Lead and manage the quality function from new product conception through to warranty analysis to ensure a proactive culture so that customers receive the product to the highest standard of quality possible
- Ensure effective internal and external audits happen as well as assessment and audit of subcontractors to minimise non-value added.
- Establish Interaction and collaborative research work with Leading Industries and Academic institutions and Overseas to sharpen in-house expertise and manufacturing line performances.
- Closely working with downstream products of Cell & Module team for resolution of Customer complaints on Products
- Coordinate with engineering to ensure repeatable manufacture of product while maintaining quality, safety and environmental standards and achieving cost targets in a timely fashion
- Developing key systems and procedures (SOPs) leading to new materials characterization and successful application in manufacturing field.
- Involved with all cross functional teams and lead them from the front to achieve timely and cost effective roll out of projects.
- Responsible for all quality accreditations of new material implementation and QMS in Compliance with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001,
- Interact with shift In-charges and shop floor people to identify the issues in the process and crystal quality
- Identify the new developments in the cost implication areas to reduce the cost and process time without affecting the quality
- Give necessary training for shop floor people to implement and control the process changes
- Interface with production team and internal customer to resolve the quality issues
- Coordination with internal customers and maintenance team to ensure a coordinated design and complete engineering deliverables
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 15 years of experience in related field (Educational Qualification: ME/ MTech/ M. Sc/ Ph.D in Electrical Engineering / Material Science / Semiconductor physics/ Material Physics / Chemistry)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Should have hands-on experience on Wafer Polishing, growing Silicon
- Exposure on Crystalline Silicon Wafer & Ingot handling and Knowledge
- Have experience on developmental activities on Tool & Line Performance (Green/Black belt Projects)
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers
- Thorough Knowledge on various engineering materials and understanding of application in Ingot/Wafer manufacturing
- Quality Control and Design FMEA, QA process skills
- Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development
- Knowledge of Silicon Crystal growth techniques and Silicon PV value Chain overall
- Knowledge of crystal defects and its impacts on quality of final product and mitigation mechanism
- Certification programs in Six Sigma, Quality Improvement associate, quality auditor
- Basic Safety Knowledge (Fire-safety, Waste Management, etc) / Understanding and compliance of Safety & EHS norms
