Job Description
The Regrinding Operator reports to the Production & Service Manager and will be responsible for the following tasks:
- CNC Operations: Set up, program, and operate CNC grinding machines to regrind and refurbish cutting tools including end mills, drills, and inserts
- Quality Inspection: Examine and evaluate tools to ensure they meet precision requirements and internal quality standards
- Troubleshooting: Detect and resolve machine related issues to maintain smooth and efficient production
- Equipment Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and calibration to ensure optimal machine performance
- Cross functional Collaboration: Coordinate with the Sales team and other departments to ensure customer specifications for tool geometry and coating are fulfilled
- Compliance: Follow all operational procedures, safety standards, and company policies
Job Requirements
- Education: Diploma, College, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field is preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial manufacturing environments
- Prior experience in CNC grinding or cutting tool regrinding is considered an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings based on international standards such as JIS, DIN, or ISO
- Skilled in using measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, gauges, and optical measurement systems
- Solid knowledge of tool wear, dimensional tolerance, surface finishing, and precision control
- Basic English communication skills to support training and technical discussions
