Factory Manager

    Job Purpose

    The Factory Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all manufacturing operations of the factory, ensuring production targets are achieved in terms of output, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery schedule. The role also focuses on building an effective operational system and developing the factory workforce.

    Key Responsibilities

    Factory Management

    • Provide recommendations to the Board of Directors on factory development strategies in the short, medium, and long term.
    • Develop and implement effective operational management policies and production procedures.
    • Establish and maintain factory management systems in accordance with 5S and other operational standards.
    • Monitor and evaluate production performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
    • Prepare regular and ad hoc reports to the Board of Directors regarding factory operations.
    • Take full responsibility for the overall production and operational performance of the factory.

    Production Management

    • Develop and manage the overall production plan for the factory.
    • Oversee daily production activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
    • Assign and supervise tasks across production departments.
    • Adjust production plans when necessary to ensure timely delivery.
    • Control and continuously improve product quality during the production process.
    • Research and implement technical solutions and process improvements to enhance production efficiency.

    Factory Human Resource Management

    • Design the organizational structure and workforce planning for factory departments.
    • Coordinate with the HR Department in recruitment, training, and employee development.
    • Evaluate the performance of departments and individual employees.
    • Promote a professional working culture and maintain labor discipline.
    • Ensure compliance with company regulations, labor safety, fire prevention, and asset protection.

    Cost and Asset Management

    • Manage all factory equipment, machinery, materials, warehouses, and company assets.
    • Develop and control production consumption norms including raw materials, labor, and energy.
    • Monitor and control production costs within the approved budget.
    • Propose equipment and technology improvement solutions to increase operational efficiency.

    Continuous Improvement and Factory Development

    • Evaluate factory operational performance and propose improvement initiatives.
    • Proactively implement solutions to improve productivity and operational efficiency.
    • Participate in developing the long term strategy and direction of the factory.

    Reporting Structure

    • Direct report to: Company Director
    • Directly manage the following departments
    • Production
    • Engineering or Maintenance
    • Warehouse or Logistics
    • Quality
    • Other related departments as assigned

    Working Environment

    • Working at a manufacturing factory.
    • 48 working hours per week.
    • Occasional domestic or international business travel may be required.

    Candidate Requirements

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, Production Management, or related fields.

    Experience

    • Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a Factory Manager or Production Manager role.

    Technical Knowledge

    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and factory management.
    • Understanding of refrigeration technology, cooling systems, or air conditioning equipment is preferred.
