Role Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned and proactive Factory Manager to lead and develop the manufacturing operations of an electric vehicle production plant. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for shaping the plant’s organizational structure, implementing production systems aligned with international standards (especially Japanese manufacturing), and driving operational excellence to achieve production targets and support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Organizational and Human Resource Development
- Develop the human resource structure within the factory, managing and scaling the workforce from the current 20 employees to approximately 30.
- Lead recruitment, training, and performance management processes to build a high-performing production team.
2. Establish Operational Mechanisms
- Build, implement, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs), job descriptions, and work instructions for all production functions.
- Drive continuous process improvement for better productivity, quality, and safety.
3. Organize and Oversee Production Operations
- Apply lean manufacturing principles and modern production methodologies to ensure high product quality.
- Collaborate with external partners for training and production system enhancement following Japanese manufacturing standards.
4. Equipment Maintenance and Workplace Safety
- Set and deliver on the production target of 1,000 vehicles by 2025 (300 units produced to date).
- Establish preventive maintenance plans for all machinery and production assets.
- Review and approve maintenance requests for repair and replacement of equipment.
5. Collaboration with External Partners
- Work closely with technology providers to optimize and upgrade production lines.
- Lead the implementation of automated systems such as robotic painting solutions.
6. Product Design & Technology Transfer
- Support finalization of product design and models for new electric vehicle releases.
- Partner with technical teams and top management to execute technology transfer projects from China, ensuring successful localization of electric vehicle manufacturing.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must-Have Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in plant operations, production planning, equipment maintenance, and team leadership.
- Strong leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in factories in Japan or with Japanese manufacturing standards is highly desirable.
- Japanese language proficiency is an advantage.
- Certification in production/lean manufacturing is a plus.

Reporting to: CEO
Working Time: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM); Saturday (8:00 AM – 12:00 PM) – 2 Saturdays/month
Salary: negotiable + 13th month salary + other bonuses and allowances
Start Date: ASAP
