Engineering Manager

    Responsibilities:

    Leadership and Team Development

    • Supervise, coach, and strengthen a cross functional team of engineers and technicians while promoting a culture of teamwork, innovation, and accountability.
    • Design and implement technical training and development programs to enhance team capabilities and career growth.
    • Oversee engineering team performance through KPI management, regular coaching sessions, and performance assessments.

    Strategic Planning and Implementation

    • Formulate and execute engineering strategies that align with the company’s operational and business goals.
    • Lead initiatives focused on improving manufacturing efficiency, minimizing waste, and increasing overall productivity.
    • Monitor industry developments and emerging technologies to maintain the organization’s competitive advantage.

    Process and Equipment Enhancement

    • Manage the development, maintenance, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and production processes to ensure quality, precision, and safety compliance.
    • Conduct root cause investigations and implement long term corrective actions for operational challenges.
    • Ensure preventive maintenance systems are effectively established and maintained.

    Project Management

    • Lead projects related to new product launches, process enhancement, and equipment modernization while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
    • Work closely with Quality, Production, and Supply Chain teams to ensure effective project coordination and execution.
    • Track project progress and regularly report updates to senior leadership.

    Compliance and Quality Management

    • Ensure engineering operations comply with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications including ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF 16949.
    • Partner with QA teams to address quality concerns and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Budget and Resource Control

    • Prepare and manage the engineering department budget, including manpower, materials, and capital investment planning.
    • Review and approve investments in machinery, tools, equipment, and new technologies.
    • Follow up and ensure permanent corrective actions are implemented effectively for issues related to production, equipment, tooling, quality, customer concerns, and process controls.

    Job Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related disciplines. A master’s degree is an advantage.
    • At least 15 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 10 years in management positions within precision manufacturing environments.
    • Solid expertise in precision machining, CNC programming, and automation technologies.
    • Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement practices.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities with the ability to improve processes, equipment, and production systems.
    • Proficient in CAD/CAM applications and ERP platforms.
    • Good knowledge of manufacturing standards and certifications such as ISO9001, ISO14001, and IATF 16949.
    • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
    • Strong strategic mindset with effective execution skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision making abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Good command of spoken and written English.
