Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Capital Allocation
- Contribute to the development and refinement of investment strategies, priority sectors, and capital allocation plans aligned with the Group’s overall objectives.
- Provide investment perspectives and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Investment Research & Opportunity Development
- Lead research on industries, markets, and companies to identify investment trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Develop investment theses and translate research findings into a qualified investment pipeline.
M&A & Transaction Execution
- Lead the full investment and M&A process, including opportunity sourcing, due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, negotiation, and closing.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout major or complex transactions.
- Ensure high-quality analysis, investment discipline, and effective risk management.
- Present, challenge, and defend investment recommendations and transaction proposals to senior management and relevant approval bodies.
Portfolio Management & Post-Investment Value Creation
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify initiatives to improve investment returns and enterprise value.
- Work closely with portfolio companies to implement appropriate value-creation initiatives.
Senior Stakeholder Management, Partnerships & Team Development
- Work effectively with senior leaders and key stakeholders while providing independent, data-driven investment perspectives.
- Build and leverage relationships with financial institutions, investment funds, advisors, and strategic partners to identify new investment opportunities.
- Lead, develop, and strengthen a high-performing investment team with strong expertise, independent thinking, and investment discipline.
Requirements
Professional Experience
- 12–15 years of experience in investment, M&A, private equity, corporate investment, or related fields, including at least 5 years in an investment leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading major or complex investment/M&A transactions throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Strong expertise in investment analysis, due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring, and negotiation.
- Experience in investment strategy, capital allocation, and/or portfolio management within a professional investment environment.
- Experience in portfolio management and post-investment value creation is an advantage.
Leadership & Investment Capabilities
- Strong investment judgment with the ability to form independent views and provide well-supported recommendations.
- Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to quickly understand new industries, business models, and investment opportunities.
- Proven leadership skills in building and developing professional investment teams.
- Strong ability to influence and collaborate with senior executives, portfolio company leaders, and external partners.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and professional discipline.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Investment, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CFA, MBA, or relevant international qualifications/certifications are an advantage.
- Fluent English skills, including professional communication, presentation, and negotiation.
